You can transfer money from your credit union on an as needed basis or as a recurring contribution. This can all be done through your Betterment account. Here are the instructions for transferring money from your credit union to your investment account.
- Log in to your Betterment account here.
- Click “Deposit” in the top right corner.
- Click on the account you would like to transfer money to (ex: Roth IRA).
- Connect a bank account. Note this will ask you for your Credit Union Login Credentials.
- Select the amount you would like to contribute and the frequency of deposit. For example, you can make a one time contribution of $500, or you can start an automatic monthly contribution of $50. If you select the automatic contribution option, you will be asked to select the day of the week/month you would like the transaction to take place.
- Review and Submit
