How much should I contribute in my 401(k)?

Most retirement experts recommend you save from 15% to 20% of your gross income toward your 401(k) each year.

This is a general amount and can vary based on age, income, and how much you have already saved. If you have questions about your situation we recommend meeting with a financial advisor

Note: The most you can contribute in 2023 is $22,500 or $30,000 if you are 50 or older.
